Virtually Entertained are excited to announce that they will be supporting Nissan’s motorsport and logistics agency GTA Global in producing the Nissan GT Sport Cup. The Virtually Entertained team will be providing their expert technical support and live broadcasting capabilities to the competition’s in-person finale held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya during the final weekend of the 2018 Blancpain Endurance Series.
There are several once in a lifetime prizes on offer to reward drivers who sign up to the Nissan brand in the FIA-certified Gran Turismo Manufacturer Series. These offers include a trip to NISMO Festival and Polyphony HQ, Nissan track experiences at Silverstone and support from Nissan mentors at the world final.
European drivers that participate in the Manufacturers Series as a Nissan driver will automatically be entered into the Nissan GT Sport Cup Europe. The top 12 Nissan drivers in the manufacturers series for June, July and August 2018 will be invited to the live event final at Barcelona. There is also an opportunity for 12 drivers to qualify at the track in-person for the grand final as wildcards, with more detail released on this in due course. These 48 drivers will compete in a series of short heats and the best will progress to the semi-finals and then the grand finale. The overall winner of this final will receive the trip to NISMO Festival and Polyphony Digital HQ.
For the rest of the world, the fastest gamer who selects Nissan as their brand in one of the three FIA Manufacturers Series global regions (the Americas, Asia/Oceania and Europe/Middle East) will represent Nissan at the GT Sport World Finals. The top driver from each region will also win the trip to Japan. Additionally, they will also receive bespoke Nissan team clothing and coaching from a Nissan mentor at the World Final.
